Experiencing Bliss on Water: The Story of an Aquador, a Yamarin, and the Delightful Duchy 25
Is there anything better than owning a great boat? Owning two, of course! Let’s embark on the story of a unique couple who own a farm situated virtually as a peninsula in the Fal Estuary, an idyllic locale for boat lovers. Lips are parted in wonder as the tale unfolds, relating the experience of owning an Aquador 32C, Molly, and a Yamarin 59HT, Sula.
Molly was welcomed in early 2022, joining her esteemed sibling, Sula, a fantastic launch-and-retrieve sportsboat, perfect for quick and spontaneous adventures. With a keen sense for both leisure and practicality, this couple basks in the simple pleasure and freedom Sula offers, particularly during the months Molly is docked (May to September).
But the aquatic adventure does not end there! Enter the Duchy 25, a British-built compact cruiser that woos every visitor at the Southampton Boat Show. Facing off competition from numerous flashy mass-market sportsboats, this charming craft stands apart.
The Duchy 25 is based on the hull of its popular namesake, modified to accommodate an outboard motor and reconfigured for an open day boat/weekender concept. One of its most appealing aspects is its adjustability to accommodate anything from a silent electric outboard to a beefy 200hp petrol engine. With the heavy engine box removed to maximize cockpit space, it’s perfect for leisurely excursions. The u-shaped dinette in the cockpit, designed for six, can convert into a sunpad or overnight berth, making it an affordable, family-friendly, and highly desirable boat. Thus, the story of this nautical trio - an Aquador, a Yamarin, and a Duchy - is a delightful chronicle of the joys and adventures of life on water.
