Italian powerhouse Benetti makes waves at Cannes with its largest Oasis model yet: The Oasis 42M

At this year's Cannes Yachting Festival, Benetti has introduced its impressive Oasis 42M, the latest and largest addition to the renowned Oasis series.

Benetti, the eminent Italian yacht builder, showcased the latest addition to its highly successful Oasis line at the Cannes Yachting Festival. The Oasis 42M represents a marked evolution in luxury yacht design, having already made a splash with the first unit sold, anticipating a launch in 2027. The Oasis 42M is a natural progression from its precursor, the Oasis 40M, and presents significant upgrades, including modifications to the shipyard’s patented Oasis Deck. This metamorphosing design features unfolding gunwales on the lower deck, crafting scenic overwater balconies. The novel configuration now includes an 8.3-square-metre pool - a standout feature in this size category. A retractable enclosure integrates the aft deck, rendering an uninterrupted expanse of over 100 square metres. Expert British studio RWD, a familiar collaborator with Benetti, has returned to fashion the exterior design of the new model, with Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture helming the interior design. According to Mark Gardner, RWD’s director of exterior design, the Oasis 42M emphasises evolution over revolution, exuding an enduring elegance through its ‘pebble-like’ structure. The main deck has undergone significant redesign, with the owner’s cabin including a private terrace, relocated to the upper deck. This reshuffling frees up space for a flexible area that can be customised as a health-focused hub like a gym or spa or transformed into an entertainment atrium such as a cinema. It also includes an option of installing a second drop-down terrace. The pacesetting 17.3-metre sundeck, claimed to be the largest in its segment, proffers a spa pool, bar and spacious lounge. In terms of technical innovation, the Oasis 42M houses a data-driven engineering package reducing fuel consumption, emissions, and even offers a hybrid E-Mode option for sustainable cruising without any compromise on performance. In addition, Benetti revealed its new B.Neos model at the Cannes festival, entrusting UK-based Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design for the development of its nautical lines. With 45 yachts currently under construction or on order, it’s clear that Benetti continues to shape the future of luxurious seafaring.
