The impressive 59.4-metre Rossinavi explorer yacht Akula is making waves for the first time on the market, with David Legrand of Fraser acting as broker.

Rossinavi’s explorer yacht Akula, frequently seen cruising the globe with its striking scarlet red profile, is now available on the market. Its audacious design, drawn from the innovative mind of Gian Paolo Nari, has stirred up much interest and praise since its delivery in 2024. This admiration testifies to the Italian shipyard’s successful leap into explorer yacht construction.

The 59.4-metre Akula - designed for ventures anywhere on the globe - features an ice-class steel hull and a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system. Offering a remarkable range of up to 8,000 nautical miles, the vessel not only prioritises efficiency but also environmental consciousness during its exploration.

More than a sophisticated space of leisure, the Akula is outfitted with various dedicated spaces, such as a full-fledged gym, sauna, massage room, heated pool, a ‘man cave’ adorned with nautical trinkets, and practical equipment such as inbuilt drying areas for outdoor gear on the bridge deck. A ‘craft cave’ and a lower-deck workshop, connected by an elevator that services all decks, lends a touch of whimsy and practicality. Akula features accommodation for ten guests, distributed between an owner’s suite, three double cabins and one twin cabin with a convertible study, all located on the main deck. Additional quarters can host a crew of thirteen.

Yet, her luxury and comfort don’t detract from her practicality and workabilty, as she also houses labs and workshops that add an avenue for scientific research on the vessel. Her exterior is as impressive, displaying vast open deck spaces, generous storage capable of housing up to nine-meter long tenders, and a crane designed to handle large equipment, including a mini-submarine. With stellar specifications such as an 11.3-metre beam, a draught of 3.5 metres, and a stealthy max speed of 15 knots, Akula is believed to be a breakthrough in the yacht market. The remarkable sailing credentials and the sophisticated design make Rossinavi’s Akula an explorer yacht par excellence.
