Italian shipyard Custom Line, lends an enlightening glimpse into the realm of exclusive yacht building. The brand, part of the Ferretti Group, unveils the intricate details of its latest, promising creation, the Saetta 128. Through the renaissance of this planing line, there’s a revitalized focus on enhancing the yachting experience. Dedicated to the pursuit of innovation, craftsmanship, and bespoke detailing, Saetta 128, a magnificent tri-deck, is expected to take high-end yachting experience to unprecedented levels. Destined for greatness, the first 39.8-metre unit from the series is currently being constructed, pegged for its grand launch in 2026, while two more units have been sold. The Saetta - translating to ‘arrow’ or ‘dart’ in Italian - alikens to the yacht’s dynamic, sharp design elements that resonate throughout this line. Featuring external styling by the Bologna-based studio SY Design, the new model is chosen for its fresh perspective and creative solutions. Further, the Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Department, headed by Piero Ferrari, and the in-house Engineering Department have taken charge of the precise naval architecture. Core traits include a sleek planing hull under 300GT, featuring a beam of 7.7 meters, designed with the intent to increased onboard liveability through optimal space distribution across three decks. Resounding its nautical spirit, the vessel exhibits a sloping stern, complemented by ‘screen-printed glazing’ and a central mast. Giving a nod to aquatic life, the yacht’s exceptional design is inspired by a shark’s fin. In addition, the ’lighter’ spoilers on her profile are consistent with other Saetta models, further evolving the line’s overall design. Stepping inside, interiors demonstrate an artistic collaboration of ACPV Architects and Custom Line Atelier, bringing forth two distinct ‘moods.’ The first one, characterized by a rich and sophisticated blend of chocolate and mocha hues, walnut, and maple parquet flooring paired with white marbles and ivory wallpapers. The contrasting ‘Classic’ mood takes a more basic approach, leveraging the simplicity of robust woods such as oak, and wallpaper portraying covert linear patterns.
