Unveiling a New Era: ISA Yachts and Lobanov Design Launch Mesmerising 70m superyacht named Blade

In collaboration with Lobanov Design, Italian shipyard ISA Yachts introduces an elegant, fresh interpretation of superyacht design with its 70-metre Blade.

In a bold affirmation of the prowess of design and innovation, Italian shipyard ISA Yachts, a brand under Palumbo Superyachts, presents to the world its latest creation - the 70-metre Blade. This new superyacht design engenders the dawn of a fresh collaboration with Lobanov Design, steered by acclaimed designer Igor Lobanov.

Blade enters the yachting scene as a fresh interpretation of ISA Yachts’ design language. Its creation aims at the grand sport segment, a niche that paves the way for fast, sporty yachts with vertical or near-vertical bows. This new design harbours a strong identity, combining recognisable styling influenced by the elegant vessels of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Envisioning a seamless sculptural form, Blade’s fluid lines traverse from bow to stern—an innovative approach for a grand sports yacht. Hull graphics are cunningly integrated into the superyacht’s volume. In addition, glazing infuses a unique visual identity, brilliantly merging dotted glass panels with a contrasting black insert.

The superstructure envisages a composition of dark-painted surfaces, glass panels, teak detailing and a dynamic curve that ignites a sense of motion. Notably, the yacht features a transforming aft garage door, elegantly transforming into an idyllic bench for seafarers to marvel at the ocean.

Prioritising owner’s comfort, the interior arrangement includes an aft suite on the upper deck. The suite comes with a private terrace, ensuring maximal privacy and unobstructed views of the sea. Projected performance illustrates a top speed of 17.5 knots, cruising speed of 14 knots and a range of approximately 5,000 nautical miles, powered by twin MTU 12V4000 M53L engines.

Giuseppe Palumbo, sole director of Palumbo Superyachts, hasn’t held back his enthusiasm. According to him, Blade represents not only a new interpretation of ISA Yachts’ DNA but a project of great strategic significance. Moreover, he sees the partnership with Lobanov Design as shared pursuit of strong design and innovation. This unveiling indicates larger schemes under progress between ISA Yachts and Lobanov Design. Clearly, the future holds much in store for these collaborating giants of the yachting sphere.
