Italian studio SY Design reveals innovative 45-metre yacht concept Anvil, a bold journey through contrasting design language.
Italian studio SY Design has completely reimagined the concept of an explorer yacht with the introduction of the 45-meter Anvil. This daring design exhibits a compact hull, a slightly inverted stern, and at a glance, reveals readable, robust volumes. This heavier design contrasts brilliantly with a distinctly lighter superstructure giving an impression of it floating, a purposeful play on the concept of contrast.
Emphasizing innovation, functionality, and a fresh interpretation of sea life, the Anvil is devised to redefine onboard living for the next generation of yacht owners. The creators prioritize guest experience in their design, as well a focus on operational efficiency by clever layout plans.
Accommodations are offered in four double guest cabins, all conceived with a focus on comfort and privacy. Similarly, the crew area holds four double cabins. Furthermore, the upper deck is dedicated exclusively to the owner, featuring 47 square meters of interior space, a private lounge area, and a generous 50-square-meter private aft deck.
Voicing their design approach, the studio quotes, “When imbalance is intentional, it becomes harmony.” This fundamental belief is seen in Anvil’s design, exposing a poetic balance amidst highlight contrasts.
Anvil, this extraordinarily daring venture, is not SY Design’s first. The Bologna-based studio unveiled a 63-meter superyacht concept, Harmonia, last year, highlighting their dedication to evolving yacht design.
