Van der Valk’s 36-meter custom yacht Jangada has started sea trials, bringing her a step closer to 2026 delivery.

Van der Valk, an industry-leading Dutch yard, has ushered in a new chapter in luxury seagoing, launching sea trials for the bespoke, 35.9-meter yacht Jangada. This grand vessel was launched from its prestigious Waalwijk facilities not long ago, catching the attention of enthusiasts and industry insiders alike. According to reports, she is on track for a 2026 delivery. With an owner famed for being a repeat client of the legendary Dutch shipyard, Jangada promises to join the sea’s elite ranks.

The majestic Jangada not only commands attention with its sheer size but also captivates with thoughtfully designed details. The owners requested an additional deck and higher levels of noise and vibration attenuation, prompting the shipyard to opt for a steel hull, aluminum superstructure, and extensive sound insulation throughout.

Interiors exude a contemporary charm with whitewashed wood details and boast of ‘architectural functionality’. The layout is family-centric; it features an owner’s suite spreading across the width of the main deck and cabins on the lower deck, custom-built for the owner’s children and grandchildren. Among Jangada’s standout amenities are a dedicated gym, 2.6-meter-high ceilings, expansive windows and, notably, a flybridge positioned 4.5 meters long, 1.5 meters deep jet-stream pool.

Undoubtedly, Jangada, once fully complete and delivered, will become a true crown jewel of the high seas, demonstrating the innovative spirit and meticulous craftsmanship characteristic of Van der Valk. Meanwhile, BOATPro reports that Van der Valk has five more yachts in the pipeline — an assertion of the Dutch shipyard’s dominance in the industry. Among these vessels is Project Zen, promising to be the yard’s largest custom superyacht to date. As the future unfolds, one can safely expect Van der Valk to continue crafting yachts that set precedence in impeccable design and luxurious sailing experiences.
