Sanlorenzo Elevates Luxury Yachting with the Reveal of its Latest 74Steel Superyacht - Virtuosity
Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo asserts its mastery in audacious design as it introduces Virtuosity, a groundbreaking model from its flagship 74Steel line. Continuing from the first of its line, the 72-meter Silver Fox, Virtuosity ups the extravagance stakes as it stands as Sanlorenzo’s largest construction to date.
Sanlorenzo acknowledges a noteworthy shift from the Silver Fox, as Virtuosity introduces design and architectural features hitherto unseen in the yachting world. The opulent water vessel spotlights an integrated living tree that spans two decks, a submerged aquarium melded into its hull, and an expansive 230-square-meter ‘Ocean Resort’.
CEO of Sanlorenzo, Tommaso Vincenzi, posits that the design of Virtuosity represents a distinct shift in onboard architecture understanding. The superyacht integrates natural elements, transforming technical volumes into luxurious experiential environments. The innovation doesn’t result in excess, but rather maintains a harmonious balance.
An essential feature in Virtuosity is the Ficus Nitida, a banyan tree species, that ascends through an oval void, connecting two decks organically. Skylights at floor level channel natural light to aid the tree’s growth whilst contributing to a pleasant ambiance onboard. Surprisingly, the tree was selected before the first structural block was ever assembled, highlighting its intricate role in the yacht’s design. Surrounding the central tree, the main saloon exudes comfort with lounge seating and a bar area. Simultaneously, amidships, a triple-height lobby features a dark lacquered aluminum staircase, an accompanying lift, and a personalized wine cellar stationed conveniently.
As you navigate upwards, the bridge deck maintains the quintessential indoor-outdoor approach with a winter garden veranda complete with a formal dining table, bar area, and a lobby accompanied by a walk-in wine cellar. Two further guest cabins and the captain’s cabin are laid out strategically on this deck. The superyacht can accommodate up to 16 guests, serviced by a crew of up to 24. The intricate layout encompasses an owners’ deck that houses the second owners’ suite roughly 140 square meters in size, an aft cinema lounge, and a reflective glass-bottomed pool that overlooks the bow. A multi-functional front space features removable seating and a sensory shower. The sundeck redesign showcases an indoor gym.
Through elements of design and architecture, the superyacht pushes the envelope of luxury sailing. Virtuosity triumphantly embodies Sanlorenzo’s commitment to continuous innovation and customization, leading the fleet into a bold, new era of luxury yachting.
