Introducing the Updated Targa 55: Fairline’s Fusion of Aesthetics and Functionality

Published: 12 Nov 2025
Fairline recently unveiled its all-new Targa 55, marrying a breathtaking aesthetic overhaul with remarkable engineering.

Fairline, renowned boating manufacturer, recently launched the new avatar of its Targa 55 yacht. This impressive yacht has undergone a total makeover while keeping in line with its sportscruiser heritage. Originally based on the esteemed platform of the award-winning Squadron 58, the Targa 55 now boasts a redesigned superstructure that combines power and elegance with functionality.

One of the most noticeable features of this new model are the broad, large windows that stretch along the sides of the saloon, continuing to the glass buttress extensions jutting out into the cockpit. These windows provide a panoramic view, offering shelter from the elements but unrestricted visibility from the cockpit. These new design elements fused with an elegant swooping hardtop render a leaner, lighter look to the Targa 55, distinguishing it from the more solid Squadron 58 flybridge.

Below decks, the Targa 55 closely follows the path trodden by the Squadron 58. Comprising a full beam amidships owner’s suite, a forward VIP with a dual access ensuite bathroom, and a twin guest cabin nestled snugly in-between. Propelling this yacht forward, are a pair of twin Volvo Penta D13 shaft drive engines, juiced up at 900hp or 1,000hp. The yacht is predicted to reach a top speed upwards of 34-35 knots.

The first Targa 55 sets sail next year with prices commencing from £1,650,000. Paul Taylor, a leading investor behind new owners Fairline Holdco, assured that the renovated Targa 55 is only the initial offering in a series of innovative new products being devised.

The Targa 55 is an elegant demonstration of blending top-tier engineering with a thoughtful, design-centric ethos to create a seamless seafaring experience. This overhaul just goes on to exemplify - at Fairline, luxury is not an addition, it’s in the very build of their yachts.
