Horizon II - An Adventurer's Masterpiece: Leapher Yachts' First 61m Explorer Yacht Sees Water
Horizon II, a stunning revelation in the superyacht industry, graces the waters for the first time from the docks of the finest new Dutch shipbuilder, Leapher Yachts. Once only known as Project Lazarus, the launch of Horizon II stands testament to the luxury and exploratory prowess that epitomise the brand’s ethos.
Featuring a masculine grey and white profile, Horizon II is the firstborn of the shipyard’s NAVIX60 model. Notably, the yacht was last spotted as a bare hull in 2024, finally emerging fully-formed after a grand showcasing ceremony in Leapher’s facilities in Tolkamer, the Netherlands.
It is the large and welcoming interiors that truly amaze, affording a substantial 1,760GT of volume and allocating accommodation for 14 guests across six lavish cabins. Quintessential features for seafarers include a dedicated beach club, expansive pool, sauna, and diving room catering to diverse preference of discerning guests. Additionally, the explorer houses an avenue for water-related fun with a garage hosting an assortment of tenders and water toys.
Horizon II also has an impressive record with its performance on water. Expectations are for a top speed of 12 knots, a cruising speed of 10 knots, and an outstanding range of 9,000 nautical miles, making it truly a yacht designed for adventurous sea lovers.
Following this triumphant initiation, Horizon II now proceeds into the next stages of outfitting, commissioning, and prepping for sea trials. As Yiannis Andriotis, the visionary CEO of Leapher Yachts, declared in his conversation last year, they are not just building yachts, they’re creating explorers - and Horizon II is a premium testament to that vision.
