Moonen Yachts sets sail on fabrication of new vessel in the esteemed 122 Martinique series, a showcase of innovative design and supreme comfort.

Somewhere amidst the quiet bustle of Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, Moonen Yachts is setting course on a new maritime journey as construction begins on its tenth 122 Martinique motor yacht, known as YN208. Due for delivery in June 2027 and currently listed for sale at a cool €27,000,000, this vessel is the latest in Moonen Yachts’ longstanding collaboration with nautical design visionary Rene van de Velden.

Bringing to life the exterior lines of award-winning superyachts since 2018, van de Velden’s designs marry long-range cruising capabilities with steel displacement hulls and aluminium superstructures. This makes his creations not just marvels of design but also remarkably robust vessels, made to traverse any seascape with ease.

Characterised by light-filled expanses, Vripack toys with a warm and metallic colour palette, highlighting elements such as American pine woods, Emperador marbles, and the finest Italian leather. This unique meeting of materials is thoughtfully designed to ignite the imagination and attest to the endless possibilities when decor and functional spaces respect a client’s specific aquatic aspirations.

Onboard, YN208 offers boarding for twelve guests split among five illustrious cabins. This includes a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck with grand 180-degree views, two VIP guest cabins, and two extra cabins on the lower deck. Crew quarters are available for seven, and a luxurious sundeck presents ample space for lounging and dining, alongside a sheltered bar and the option of a custom whirlpool. Moreover, the vessel offers a 20-square-metre swim platform accompanied by hydraulic Z-lift swim stairs, and a hull-side tender garage skilfully accommodates a 6-metre tender with space on the foredeck for up to two Jet Skis.

Powering the YN208 are two Caterpillar C32 engines, promising a 4,000 nautical mile range cruising at 10 knots, with a maximum speed of 17 knots. The model boasts flexible technical capabilities, including worldwide shore power connectivity and dual US and European power outlets. Once completed, this latest masterpiece will join an esteemed fleet of Martinique models, setting a new standard for the luxury yachting scene.
