Azimut Peddles Luxury with Flagship Design Unveiling: An Insight on the Fly 82 Interior
Known for its innovative and remarkable designs, the Italian shipyard Azimut has taken the wraps off its most recent flybridge model, the Fly 82. This flagship model stretches 24.8 metres and adds a fresh aspect to Azimut’s best-selling Fly series that features six different designs sailing between 16.8 and 23.6 metres. The exterior of the Fly 82, designed by long-standing collaborator Alberto Mancini, merges gentle curves with sharply defined lines, creating a look that somehow appears to be in motion even when at rest. The yacht’s interiors are brought to life by Fabio Fantolino, marking his third successful project with Azimut.
Incorporating brand’s signature DNA with innovative layout solutions, the Fly 82 models a significant advancement in Azimut’s vision of outdoor living. It introduces the pioneering Deck2Deck terrace system, an additional social space at the stern, defined by an opening transom that seamlessly aligns with the aft edge of the main deck.
Mancini’s design choice for the flagship model includes power from Triple Volvo Penta engines capable of a top speed of 32 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots. The Fly 82 boasts an optimised hull designed by Pierluigi Ausonio Naval Architecture and the Azimut|Benetti Group R&D department, offering a 20 to 30 per cent decrease in CO2 emissions. Fitted with a WATCHIT Eye, the first collision avoidance system for yachts based on artificial intelligence, the model amalgamates luxury with safety.
Currently, Azimut has 79 superyachts undergoing construction or on order, each vying to redefine luxury yachting. The Fly 82 is not just another addition to Azimut’s portfolio, but a leap forward in setting new standards in the world of luxury yachting.
