The 29m Van der Valk explorer yacht Blondie steals the limelight as it is now listed for sale, elegantly combining modern design with functionality.

In an unveiling that is set to make waves in the luxury boat sector, the third addition to the latest generation of long-range explorers from Van der Valk has been launched. And she is quite the sight to behold. Immaculately christened as ‘Blondie’, this 29m explorer yacht strikes a remarkable balance between contemporary design and pragmatic sea-faring capabilities. What speaks volumes about her craft is her seamless integration of modern aesthetics with the resiliency of a trawler. This is a refreshing collaboration between Guido de Groot Design, Diana Yacht Design and Ginton Naval Architects.
The yacht possesses a five-cabin layout, comfortably accommodating up to 10 guests. This includes a main deck full-beam owner’s suite. She features two VIP doubles and twin cabins, all furnished with en-suites. For the supporting staff, the aft crew quarters provide a sleeping arrangement for a team of four.
The main highlights of the Blondie are not limited to just her exteriors. Stepping onboard, you’re welcomed by an open-plan saloon that is the epitome of modern comfort. Crisp white soft furnishings provide a laid-back atmosphere for lounging. Right forward, inside the same space, is a dining area capable of seating all 10 guests, flanked by window panes that allow for an influx of natural light.
The sundeck offers a dedicated leisure area where guests can unwind around a large dining table. Just a stone’s throw away is a compact bar where guests can enjoy drinks. Further aft, a pool is flanked by sunbeds, offering room for sun-soaked relaxation. The beach club downstairs offers guests their little sanctuary, complete with a sauna and a seating area next to the swim platform for seamless sea access.
The Blondie’s power comes from a pair of 1,650hp MAN V12 diesel engines, boasting a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 17 knots. With its blend of style and performance, the Blondie, now set for sale at a price tag of $10,900,000, stands as a testament to Van der Valk’s prowess.
