Sailing and boating in the UK have met their watershed moment. Participation has been waning, making it imperative for industry stakeholders to coalesce towards revitalizing this cherished tradition. Taking up this monumental task, the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), the National Governing Body for the UK’s sailing and boating community, has embarked on a landmark initiative — the Reflections on Water Survey.
Advertised as the RYA’s largest open study to date, the survey is designed to encapsulate the most holistic picture of life on the water in the UK. From the grassroots level to professional pathways, it aims at comprehending aspects that are functioning optimally, facets that are teetering, and areas most in need of change.
