Port Phillip Bay lends its captivating azure waters to the J/70 Australian Championships 2025, with 21 boats making a dash to polish their strategies and gauge the competition. Led by accomplished sailor Alex Dare, the practise day saw a parade of young and experienced sailors from different backgrounds, united by their passion for the sport, and their shared vessel of choice: the increasingly popular J/70s.

It’s evident that the sport of sailing continues to evolve with its competitors. This year’s enthralling spectacle features five interstate teams, seven youth teams, and 14 teams of Corinthians, offering a flavourful mix of styles and strategies that keeps everyone on their toes. Nautical spectators and competitors can’t help but get infused with an invigorating sense of anticipation and camaraderie.
