Just as summer hints its arrival in 2025, the 29th Superyacht Palma Cup sets the stage for an enthralling contest among seafaring colossi. The Cup has chosen the Club de Mar-Mallorca as its new anchor point, nudging the grand collection of yachts and their eager crews to the very heart of the event’s vibrant social scene.
At the helm of this convoy is the Wally sailing yacht Rose, the 24-metre reigning champion looking for a consecutive win, a feat not accomplished since Kokomo did so in 2002. To challenge the Rose’s supremacy are prestigious contenders such as the 38.8-metre Vijonara and the recently launched Linnea Aurora.
There is, however, heightened anticipation around the 35.4-metre Gelliceaux, a debutant to the Superyacht Cup and an already proven fierce competitor, emerging victorious at the 2024 St Barths Bucket.
