Marstrand 2025: New Champions, Fresh Legends, and History Rewritten at the ILCA Europeans ILCA 7: Britain Extends Its Empire on the Water Once again, Great Britain proved the dominant force in the ILCA 7 class. Their medal count now sits at 40 – more than double Germany’s tally and far ahead of Sweden and Croatia. Michael Beckett GBR stood tall with Gold, his teammate Finley Dickinson GBR took Bronze, and Silver went to Duko Bos NED.

Julian Hoffmann GER, the best German sailor at the last ILCA 7 World Championships in Qingdao, took victory in both races yesterday, ending the day with a perfect score. “The conditions were great – 14 to 18 knots of wind, slightly offshore. The key was to get a good start and quickly head in the right direction. I managed that twice, and my speed was just right. I’m happy with the day,” he said, relaxed after securing two wins.
