Spain took Early control of the Sydney Sail Grand Prix
The Sydney Sail Grand Prix delivered the kind of racing Sydney Harbour has become famous for — tight tactical decisions, shifting winds and foiling catamarans flying across the water at nearly 60 km/h.
At the end of four fleet races it was Spain’s Los Gallos, led by driver Diego Botín, who emerged as the strongest team of the opening day.

Following a sensational debut in September 2025, Geneva has rapidly established itself as one of SailGP’s most compelling natural stadiums. Last year’s inaugural edition drew a sold-out crowd, with more than 8,500 ticketed fans lining the lakefront to witness F50 foiling catamarans slicing across the water at astonishing speeds. The atmosphere was electric, the racing razor-close, and the setting unforgettable — even if local hopes were dashed when the Germany SailGP Team, presented by Deutsche Bank, denied Switzerland victory on home waters.

SailGP has confirmed the return of one of its most striking and successful venues, with the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix set to roar back onto Geneva’s spectacular waterfront on 19–20 September 2026. Staged once again on the deep blue theatre of Lake Geneva, the event will mark a second consecutive home race for the Switzerland SailGP Team, supported by long-standing championship and event Title Partner Rolex.
