The first chapter in European ILCA team racing history has been written — and it belongs to Italy.
After a long, tactical and at times nerve-shredding final day on the water in Athens, Italy emerged as the inaugural EurILCA Team Racing European Champions, lifting the title at the close of the 2025 EurILCA Team Racing Championship. In doing so, they etched their names into the record books as the very first nation to conquer this new and fast-growing format of international ILCA racing.

The 2025 EurILCA Europa Cup HUN in Balatonfüred, Hungary, closed on a high note after three days of drama on and off the water. With 177 sailors from 16 nations, including Olympians and rising stars, the regatta confirmed its place as one of the premier fixtures on the European dinghy calendar.

The seventh regatta of the 2025 EurILCA Europa Cup Trophy kicked off yesterday in Warnemünde, Germany, with the first two races.
A total of 302 sailors from 32 countries are competing in the ILCA 4, ILCA 6, and ILCA 7 classes.
The weather, unlike the previous day’s forecast, was overcast with a few raindrops, but the wind was steady and reliable.
