Boat-Design Articles
In the luxurious world of yachts and superyachts, a new star has risen. Named the Synthesis S.60, this innovative chaseboat is the brainchild of design-savvy thinktank SPARK Marine Projects. Conceived in Monaco but built with help from New Zealand’s Lloyd Stevenson Boatbuilders, the Synthesis S.60 made its grand debut at the recent Monaco Yacht Show, where it captured significant attention due to its distinct features. This creation isn’t merely a boat; it’s a carefully built platform designed to revolutionise yacht support operations.
Its primary attraction is a purpose-built, foil-assisted hull, which masterfully amalgamates seakeeping qualities, fuel efficiency, and range without compromising the staple aesthetic appeal and detailing that one would expect from the luxury yacht field. However, the magic of the Synthesis S.60 is not merely confined to its hull. The central cabin is fully climate-controlled and can comfortably accommodate up to twelve guests and two crew members.
Compass Tenders sure knows how to make waves – they’ve announced the release of two exceptional custom-made tenders for the first-ever Amels 80 model, the much-coveted superyacht Pangea. This magnificent sea marvel was delivered from the Damen Yachting’s top-notch facilities in Vlissingen, the Netherlands, last month and is currently sailing the high seas on course for the splendid Caribbean island of Antigua. The first custom order fulfilled by Compass was an impressively sleek 11.7-metre Limousine tender. The buyer specified certain preferences that included ensuring enough clear headroom for a party of eight guests and to maximise exterior seating space.
