The highlight of the day came during the third race, when the Spanish team rounded the top mark in first place after a brilliant start. The move was the result of sharp tactical reading and a fierce battle between Team Nika and Artemis Racing, which opened a lane for Lanzarote to take the lead. Unfortunately, a poorly timed knot in the gennaker prevented the sail from deploying properly, blocking the manoeuvre and ultimately leading to a penalty after the team inadvertently impeded Team Aqua.
