Andrew Tarboton cements his standing as the reigning champion, dominates the dashing waves and wraps up a glorious victory at the 2025 Musto Skiff UK Circuit.

Andrew ‘Turbo’ Tarboton, the indomitable champion of the 2025 Musto Skiff World Championship, upheld his sterling performance, asserting his supremacy to secure the UK Circuit title. Adding another feather to his cap, Tarboton even snatched victory in the Southern Circuit, outpacing Robert Richardson in the final nail-biting event. Notably, Richardson, the second-place finisher at the Worlds, ended up bagging the silver in the UK Circuit, demonstrating the consistent performance of these top-tier sailors.

In the 2025 season, the exhilaration escalated across 14 events, featuring a blend of Southern and Northern series, the Inland Championship in March, and the UK National Championship at the renowned Hayling Island Sailing Club in September. To ensure excitement and fair competition, a weighted scoring system was employed, factoring in three circuit events as well as the unexcisable UK Nationals.

The season was testament to the sportsmanship and intensity that epitomizes the Musto Skiff UK Circuit, accommodating 62 competitors from 28 different sailing clubs across the UK. Though the turnout seemingly dipped from the previous year owing to the World Championship in Weymouth, the heightened competitiveness, embodied in seven separate winners across 14 events, reiterates the profound diversity and thriving spirit of the fleet.

As the curtains drop on a brilliant season of wave-riding and determined competition, it’s time to gear up for another year of oceanic adventures and impassioned rivalry. 2026 holds promise of even greater thrills, embarking on the season with a flurry of exciting events and conclude at the grand UK Nationals at East Lothian Yacht Club, just outside Edinburgh, in September.
