The 2025 Hamble Winter Series, a sailing event that boosted our spirits, has concluded. This year blessed us with clarity, not only in the skies but also in predicting the weather, which turned out to be spot on. The chilly yet sunny day concluded with the bustling energy of excited racers and a subtly breathing, 9-11 knots, westerly. The Vice Commodore, James Lutley, and accompanying team, spearheaded this event, setting up courses which promised fun, twists, turns, and a fair challenge. The SGS calendar is set to merge five major Olympic regattas from various corners of the world, carving a clear path towards Los Angeles 2028. Ranging from Spain to Los Angeles, the teams will be placed in a competition not just against each other but the very elements themselves.
