The grand opening ceremony combined with the skipper briefing marked the final leg of the Turkey Tour and the launching pad for the Tenzor International Cup Winter Series. An impressive fleet of 20 J/70s sprung into action on the first race day, with the Race Committee (RC) team swiftly setting up the race course. A major milestone was the debut of the Vakaros system in Turkey, utilised to establish the starting line – a pioneering step for sailing in the country. The Vakaros devices were seamlessly integrated with TAYK’s robotic buoys, offering a smooth and successful boat race execution.
The Corinthian’s teams, led by the Ayaz Jr team, made a solid start with the initial win, MYSK and Eker Efsane Yogurt tailing close. The same course was prepared for the immediate inception of the second race, which also concluded without a hitch. The action was palpable as Bogatyrs maintained their lead against the fleet, going pole-to-pole with Tenzor Team who secured a second-place finish in a thrilling encounter.
