British Dinghy Racing Elite Battle it Out at the GJW Direct 49th Bloody Mary, Part of the Seldén SailJuice Winter Series
Thrill, skill and high-octane action is set to envelop the waters as the Seldén Sailjuice Winter Series moves forward, leading up to a much-anticipated showdown at the GJW Direct 49th Bloody Mary. With dazzling displays of talent and determination already witnessed in previous events, the Merlin Rocket has stolen the spotlight, securing victory in all four races thus far, showcasing their spirit of adventure and boundless dedication.
Their astonishing winning streak sees Arran Holman, victor of the past two Sailjuice events, the Robline UK Polar Chase and Yorkshire Dales Brass Monkey, poised to claim the hat trick. This time Holman will take the helm, assisted by Tom Pygall as crew. The challenge, however, remains dense as even trumping the other Merlins, let alone the rest of the fleet, will be tough. The Merlins might find themselves locked in their own skirmish, potentially affecting their overall victory in the pursuit race.
Notwithstanding the action unravelling on the water, there is much excitement to look forward to onshore. Simon Horsfield, the resident coach of the Seldén Sailjuice Winter Series, is set to provide insights, tips and advice throughout the eight events of the season, aiding sailors in achieving their personal best.
With the Grafham Grand Prix having been rescheduled for 8 February, after its initial cancellation, the event calendar for the season remains interesting and varied. Binding the spirit of sailing and the power of competition, the Series promises to be an adventure-filled ride for participants and spectators alike.
