Ahead of the Epic Ocean Race Europe, Biotherm Team Arrives in Kiel Geared for the Journey
As the clock ticks towards the epic journey that is the Ocean Race Europe on 10th August 2025, the Biotherm Team is readying its sails. Nestling in Kiel’s marina in north-east Germany, the team ends a 48-hour delivery trip across the Baltic Sea. The second edition of the Ocean Race Europe, a swift 5-leg, 40-day dash to Montenegro, is eagerly waiting.
During late June, after a strenuous week-long delivery from Lorient, Brittany, Paul Meilhat, his co-skipper Amélie Grassi, and parts of the crew made landfall in Sandhamm, Sweden. Competing in the historic Gotland Runt that gathered over 200 yachts was another highlight. Their blue monohull made quite the impression, finishing second in a 24-hour race around the Gotland island.
The team bond has grown stronger after the Baltic Sea trip, where they began the consolidation for a winning pair strategy between Paul Meilhat and Amélie Grassi. The future plans shaped well during this period, with roles getting defined clearly for each member. This resulted in creating a strong, fool-proof game plan.
Biotherm’s shore crew, who are equally skilled as those on board, have been praised for their meticulous effort. They have been refining their work with ceaseless transitions across various venues, armed with the wisdom of past races. The technical director, Alizée Vauquelin quoted they’re preparing for any unexpected scenarios to ensure a smooth sail.
Thus, the Biotherm team remains poised, ready to battle the waves with victory in their sight for the upcoming Ocean Race Europe.
