Diving into RYA's 2026 University Sailing Sustainability Initiative Setting the Course for Green Boating

In an epoch where the sea whispers of sustainability and the wind beckons towards green horizons, the Royal Yachting Association Green Blue University Sailing Sustainability Challenge stands as a beacon of environmental responsibility. Sponsored by the esteemed Royal Thames Yacht Club, this challenge shores up from the bustling universities of the UK, inspiring students towards eco-friendly sailing practices. Championed by the RYA’s Green Blue initiative, the challenge celebrates university sailing environments that ingeniously intertwine day-to-day activities with sustainable measures.

The competition, running until February, gears towards a grand crescendo at the British Universities Sailing Association (BUSA) Championships where the winners will be applauded at a dedicated awards ceremony.
