Cruise into the Future: Benetti Launches Two Hybrid Superyachts Blending Luxury and Sustainability

Published: 09 Feb 2026
Italian shipyard, Benetti, unveils two superyachts packed with hybrid power, epitomising the marriage of luxury and eco-loving ingenuity.

The legendary Benetti shipyard has once again made headlines in the yachting world. This time, it’s not just the lengths they’re going to in terms of luxury, but the lengths they’re going to sustainably. The Italian shipyard has proudly launched two 67-metre superyachts boasting hybrid propulsion systems from its trailblazing B.Now series.

The first of these titans, christened Symmetry, made quite a splash. Three weeks later, its dashing sibling Dagger did the same. True marvels of marine engineering, these superyachts represent not just the extra mile in luxury but, significantly, a crucial stride towards more sustainable modes of transport at sea.

The exterior design of these aluminium and steel giants was crafted by longstanding collaborator, RWD. The minds behind Reymond Langton Design and Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design worked their magic on the interiors. The result? An exquisitely designed, conscientiously powered pair of mammoth yachts that truly capture the zeitgeist.

The elemental advantage of the hybrid propulsion system lies in reducing the yacht’s environmental impact, simultaneously minimising vibrations and noise, whether the vessel is sailing or anchored. This ingenious system comprises three key components - main engines, generators, and a battery pack - which synergise variably to suit different cruising profiles. It provides for a smooth sailing experience where electricity can be generated by the engines, propulsion can be supported by the generators, and loading peaks or absolute silence can be ensured by the battery pack.

Further enhancing the user experience, both Symmetry and Dagger feature the shipyard’s iconic Oasis Deck - a feat of design that creates a unique, seamless indoor-outdoor living space. All in all, the new B.Now 67Ms showcase the undeniable fact that sustainability can indeed dovetail flawlessly with luxury. This is an exciting time to be alive, especially for lovers of the sea.
