Unfazed by Middle East Uncertainties, Global Yacht Market Demonstrates Stellar Performance in April

Published: 02 May 2026
Despite geopolitical challenges in the Middle East, the yacht market has demonstrated successful performance, as revealed in exclusive BOATPro data.

In the midst of tumultuous times emanating from ongoing tension with Iran, the market for yachts continues to ride the high tide. According to recent BOATPro data, the past month saw 41 yachts — all measuring above 24 metres — sold. The total deal value climbed to a healthy €381 million, surging by an impressive 133.7% from the same period the previous year.

The crown jewel among all purchases was the 56.5-metre motor yacht Virtuosity, built by Sanlorenzo. The illustrious yacht changed hands at Edmiston, with Will Bagshaw and Andrew Bond representing the seller and buyer respectively. The pedigree yacht was listed for €49.5 million, touted by its broker as being in a ’turnkey condition'.

Additionally, the 114.5-metre superyacht Pelorus by Lürssen, changed hands to Nathan Farrelly and Hans van Doornmalen of Edmiston, listed for an impressive €160 million. On another note, 68 prices were adjusted in this month, trimming €62.5 million from the market. The largest dip was noted for Lürssen’s 60-metre yacht Caipirinha, which saw a decrease of €10.9 million. Now, it’s asking price stands at €39.9 million at SuperYachtsMonaco and Edmiston.
