Historic Win for Borghesi’s All-Female Team at the Prestigious SB20 Middle East & UAE Championships

Carving their own wave through history, Charlotte Borghesi and her all-women team snatched victory at the 2025 Wicked SB20 Middle East & UAE Championships in Dubai. Set against a backdrop of light to moderate wind conditions, the championship was hosted by the illustrious Dubai Offshore Sailing Club (DOSC), seeing 25 one-design SB20 sportsboats battling it out on the shimmering azure waters.

Borghesi, at the helm of Kidzink, led her crew of highly decorated sailors. Her team included double Italian 470 Olympic representative Federica Salvà, Lovisa Karlsson, the Swedish 470 Olympic bronze medalist of Paris 2024, and British Olympic gold medalist Pippa Kenton-Page from the Beijing 2008 Yngling class championships. Ranging from world champions to Olympic medalists, the impressive assembly of female talent was a testament to the prowess of women in the world of sailing.
