Uncover the Joyous Journey of a Princess V50 Yacht Exploring Southern Brittany in a Grand Maritime Adventure
For Colin and Linda Le Conte, Southern Brittany held allure that their new Princess V50, dubbed as Echo Beach, couldn’t resist. Packed with spellbinding vistas and a climate that mesmerises, Southern Brittany promised an unforgettable sailing experience. The waves held a captivating mystery, prone to smaller tides than Northern Brittany and Normandy, which hinted at a serene voyage. The primary challenge was whether the quaint marinas and harbours could accommodate their 15-meter yacht and provide adequate fuel given the card limit of €180. The answer to their adventure lay within the journey itself.
For their friend John, a seasoned yachtsman seeking to expand his knowledge, this trip was educational. Upon reaching Brest Château marina, they were greeted with warm welcomes and efficient service, providing easy fuelling and a convenient nearby train station. The commercial buildings of the marina zone housed a range of bars and restaurants, offering a pleasant ambience. The Brest Douane was quite commendable, ensuring arrival forms were swiftly processed and passports were stamped.
The city of Brest presented a blend of maritime history with its accessible museum and charming local businesses such as Paul’s boulangerie, one of their favourites. Despite initial concerns, they quickly realized that sailing along France’s coast could be both adventurous and enjoyable, hosting its own share of surprising treats.
