Tucked into the picturesque Vieux Port of Saint-Tropez, the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez (SNST) is one of France’s most iconic and beloved yacht clubs. Founded in 1862, the SNST is steeped in maritime tradition and synonymous with the glamour and excitement of Mediterranean sailing. Far from being a private enclave, it is a welcoming club with an active sailing spirit, hosting legendary regattas and providing top-tier facilities to visiting yachtsmen and women.

Saint-Tropez, once a humble fishing village and now an international jet-set destination, is the perfect setting for this storied club. The SNST lies at the heart of the town’s harbour, offering a front-row seat to both the azure waters of the Côte d’Azur and the bustling old town with its boutiques, cafes, and nightlife.

Facilities for Visiting Sailors

Visitor Berths: The club is integrated within the Vieux Port, offering berths for yachts up to approximately 40 metres (130 ft) in length. However, space is limited in peak season, so advance reservation is advised.

Water & Electricity: All guest berths are equipped with potable fresh water and shore power connections (220V).

Fuel: Fuel dock located at the outer mole of the Vieux Port.

Wi-Fi Access: Free Wi-Fi is available in the club area and around the port for registered guests.

Showers & Toilets: Clean and well-maintained facilities are available within walking distance, maintained by the port authority.

Maintenance & Services: While SNST itself does not operate a shipyard, a range of nearby marine services are available for rigging, engine maintenance, diving services, and hull cleaning.

Food & Drink: The club has a charming members’ bar and lounge area. For broader dining, the port offers immediate access to some of the Riviera’s most famous restaurants and bistros.

One of the main draws for visiting sailors is participation in or spectating of the club’s hallmark events, most notably: Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez: An internationally celebrated regatta that draws over 300 classic and modern yachts each autumn. This event transforms the port into a floating museum and social hub of the yachting world. The club also offers year-round activities including:
