Founded in 1844, the New York Yacht Club is one of the oldest and most prestigious yacht clubs in the world, with a legacy deeply woven into the fabric of competitive sailing. Perhaps most famously, the NYYC held the America’s Cup for 132 consecutive years — the longest winning streak in sports history — from 1851 to 1983. Today, the club continues to be active in the Cup scene and sponsors top-tier programs, such as the American Magic campaign.

The Newport facility at Harbour Court, overlooking Narragansett Bay, serves as the club’s on-the-water hub.
