Since its founding in 1938, CNC has grown into a powerhouse of competitive sailing, regularly hosting international regattas and serving as a training ground for Olympic-level sailors. Elite Sailing Culture and Competitions

CNC has hosted numerous World and European Championships in Olympic classes, including Laser, 49er, 470, Finn, and Dragon. It was selected as a venue for:

Facilities for Visiting Sailors

Clube Naval de Cascais provides comprehensive facilities for both visiting sailors and resident members: Modern Clubhouse: Featuring a members’ lounge, restaurant, and panoramic terrace overlooking the bay. It serves as the social heart of the club and a viewing spot for regattas. Regatta & Race Management Support: CNC offers one of the most experienced race management teams in Europe, with full committee boat and safety boat fleets. Dinghy Park & Launching Ramps: Large, secure area for storing and rigging dinghies and small keelboats. Boat Storage: Indoor and outdoor boat storage available, including options for visiting teams and chartered fleets. Workshops & Repairs: Local marine technicians and service providers are available within walking distance. Sailing School: Offers programs from beginner level to elite training, including Optimist, ILCA, 420, 470, and more. Open to local youth and international sailors.

Collaboration with Marina de Cascais: Visiting yachts over 30 feet can berth at the adjacent marina, with access to shore power, fuel, showers, and customs services.
