Cannes Yachting Festival Spotlight: Numarine Introduces its New, Enhanced 27XP Explorer Yacht Model

Published: 13 Sep 2025
At the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival, Turkish company Numarine introduces a state-of-the-art 27XP explorer yacht model, a refreshed version of the preceding 26XP series.

The world of nautical exploration saw a revolutionary new release at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival. Turkish yard Numarine took advantage of the grand event to unveil its latest creation - the 27XP explorer yacht. This innovative model is an enhancement of the previous 26XP series, characterised by a significant length overall (LOA) expansion to 27 metres and substantially increased volume. This reimagined design demonstrates flexibility and creativity, featuring a unique open kitchen concept typically absent in pocket explorers. Alongside its dramatically expanded galley and dining provision, the 27XP delivers in aesthetic appeal. The yacht’s bold, edgy exterior design is tempered by elegantly soft interiors – a phenomenal collaboration between Italian designer Umberto Tagliavini and Can Yalman, a longstanding Numarine partner. The 27XP boasts a flexible accommodation capacity for eight to ten guests. For larger configurations, the yacht features three full VIP suites, an extra guest cabin, and a considerably enlarged full-beam master suite with a lavishly designed bathroom and walk-in closet. When opting for a four-cabin layout, the wheelhouse is conveniently positioned on the primary deck as opposed to the enclosed flybridge. The exterior design is not without its allure. The elevated bow lounge with raised seating ensures an unhindered panoramic ocean view. If keeping things out in the open appeals, the 27XP’s ‘supersized flybridge’ is noticeably longer and wider than its 26XP counterpart. Numarine founder and chairman Ömer Malaz, described the 27XP as ’longer, roomier, and more versatile than her predecessor’. Powered by twin MAN 560 engines, the 27XP reaches a top speed of 13.5 knots and a range of 2,200 nautical miles at eight knots. Numarine, currently, has seven superyacht projects either in progress or awaiting orders, the majority of which are part of the 30XP series.
