The much-anticipated Beneteau GT35 and GT40 Yachts are ready to diversify the water-villa lifestyle.
Making waves in the boating industry, Beneteau has ingeniously unveiled its new range of yachts, the GT35 and GT40, at the prestigious Cannes Yachting Festival. These yachts aim to redefine the phrase ‘villa living on the water’ with enhanced comfort, stylishly modern design, and superior performance. They were crafted from scratch, supplanting the existing GT range with a fresh outlook and innovative features. Beneteau, hinting at a futuristic expansion, reveals that a GT50 model is tentatively scheduled for introduction in January 2026.
Predominantly, eating, drinking, and socialising take top billing on these crafts. A progression from the usual confined wetbars, full-fledged outdoor galleys have been envisioned. The centrepiece of these interesting amenities is the comfortable dinette featuring face-to-face seating across suitably sized folding tables. The spacious, curved, L-shaped sofas onboard the GT40 ensure a cosy ambiance.
The versatile GT35 offers an open-plan cabin with a C-shaped convertible dinette in the bow, coupled with a twin or double aft with restroom facilities nestled between them. The bigger GT40 mirrors the GT35’s layout but with the luxury of enough space for a permanent double berth in the bow that can be secluded with a bulkhead to create a separate cabin. Both these sea beauties offer optional gyro stabilisers and solar-charged lithium AC power banks.
Engine-wise, the GT35 is exclusively powered by a pair of 300-350hp Mercury Verados, whereas the GT40 provides the option of a majestic 400hp Mercury outboard or a 320hp Yanmar diesel inboard. The companies’ collaboration with sportscar brand Alpine promises an elevated design for special Alpine versions of these boats, injected with extra flair.
