A Marine Marvel Unveiled: Sirena's Two Superyacht Titans - The 42M and 118

Published: 17 Oct 2025
2026 is gearing up to be a landmark year for Turkish shipyard Sirena, marking the arrival of two formidable yachts - the 42m and the 118.

From the gleaming Turkish shipyard Sirena, there emerges two magnanimous maritime marvels - the 42m, their first superyacht, and the 36-meter 118. Both vessels, despite their individuality, invite their passengers into an exquisite experience of life at sea – albeit from two contrasting perspectives. The traditional 118 hails from the shipyard’s popular composite line, while the 42m signifies a novel expedition - a pure superyacht spectacle with a resilient steel and aluminium constitution, poised for transoceanic adventures. A detailed appraisal of both yachts unfurls their intriguing interplay of similarities and contrasts. While at first glance, the 42m and 118 may appear distinctively different, both maintain Sirena’s signature plumb bow and rectangular hull glazing. However, their disparities surface upon examining them closely. A gleaming silver hull colour envelops the 42m, designed by expert Luca Vallebona, veering away from the traditional white hull of the 118, the brainchild of Sirena’s in-house design maestros. Higher bulwarks on the forward section of the main deck of the 42m contrasted by the 118’s open forward deck is a further testament to their differences. Furthermore, the 42m flaunts a private owner’s terrace that adds an air of mystique and exclusivity. The 42m radiates boldness and bravado, while the 118 appears as an effortlessly elegant and accessible model. Tanıl Sürmeli, Sirena’s astute Product Development Manager, reflects this sentiment. The 118 he says, encapsulates the essential elements of its smaller predecessors and magnifies it, while the 42M captures their daring vision of a wholly novel, architectural, robust design language. The 42m is thus a resounding statement - a superyacht built without constraint, ready to conquer any waterbody.
