FPB 83 Wind Horse: A Boat Built for Unstoppable Adventure on Global Swells
Constructed with tenacity for uninterruptible voyages across the vastness of the ocean, the Wind Horse stands as a testament to the wonders of maritime engineering. Proud owners, Steve and Linda Dashew, pushed the envelope on what was possible for a cruising boat. With an admirable 37,000 nautical miles notched in the first four years of her life, Wind Horse is no ordinary 83ft aluminum yacht. This impressive vessel was meticulously designed by the Dashew couple for continuous, all-conditions cruising.
Far from their first maritime exploit, the couple’s experience stems from an enchanting six-year sabbatical navigating the globe on multiple sailboats. Trading the classroom for the water, they homeschooled their children, instilling a deep-seated love for the open sea. Their wealth of experience converged in the creation of Wind Horse, their first motorboat.
A true oceanic titan, Wind Horse is more than just an industrial marvel. Its design exudes luxury, providing a comfortable lining for its multi-faceted hull with profound offshore capabilities. With its 6mm thick shell and fortified wheelhouse glass, the yacht can withstand the wrath of the open waters, offering smooth sailing in turbulent weather.
Following the success of Wind Horse, Dashew Marine unveiled a scaled-down 64ft version, the FPB 64, and the larger FPB 97. Unmistakably, Wind Horse remains the crowning marvel of the range, an adventure-filled testament to the power and beauty of sailing unbounded.
