Hailing from a rich heritage of sea-faring in the Netherlands, Krijn Van Den Brink was hardly still in his nappies when he first experienced the thrill of the open water. Growing up briefly racing in Flits dinghies then moving onto 20’-40-foot keelboats, sailing became second nature for Krijn very early on. This ignited what would become a lifelong passion that led him all the way to the helm of his own international yacht brand.

Later, Krijn linked up with his family to venture into professional boatbuilding. Driven by his fervour for sailing and his talent in boat construction, Krijn Van Den Brink aimed to turn his passion into an accessible source of exhilaration for others by founding FD Yachts.

FD Yachts stands as the vibrant embodiment of Krijn’s vision, merging Dutch craftsmanship, Swiss design finesse, and the practical efficiency of Chinese manufacturing. The product of this novel fusion is a fleet of high-performance sailing yachts that exemplify elegance and deluxe, while maintaining an accessible quality. As part of the brand’s contribution to growing the sailing community, they’ve recently become the first member of Tall Ships America’s Leadership Circle.
