Charles Leclerc, known for his speed on the F1 track, takes a plunge with latest Riva Super yacht
Speeding on the water takes a different turn when Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc collaborates with Italian shipyard Riva, a division of Ferretti Group. The twosome launched the 20th Riva 102’ Corsaro Super yacht, named Sedici, symbolising a fascinating amalgamation of speed, elegance, and seafaring beauty.
Sedici made its grand splash at the La Spezia facilities, with Leclerc, a repeat Riva owner, at the helm. Previously, he held the title deed to the Riva 82 Diva, L’As Bleu, showing the driver’s loyalty to the brand. The Corsaro Super model, an evolution of the beloved 100’ Corsaro, is marked by a sleek profile, open areas, and a smooth flow between interiors and decks. It also bears the personal choices of the Monegasque racer, including Minotti-designed furniture and Jim Thompson cushions.
Powering Sedici are twin MTU 16V 2000 M96L EPA Tier III engines with the freedom to cruise at 24 knots and reach a top speed of 28 knots. Advanced stabilisation solutions, including Hydrotab Interceptor trim tabs, Sleipner Vector Fins, and Seakeeper gyroscopic stabilisers minimise sway both at anchor and while cruising.
Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi celebrates Leclerc’s continued patronage, appreciating hiim choosing Riva once again. In an industry where standards are soaring sky-high, this collaboration confirms the unique appeal of Riva’s functional beauty and state-of-the-art technology. Looking at BOATPro’s data, Riva seems to be ready to fulfil the high demand, with 20 yachts over 24 metres in various stages of construction.
As Leclerc is set to ride the ocean waves aboard Sedici, Riva continues to surge ahead, crafting superior vessels that push the envelope of nautical design and technology.
