Rán Clinches Victory at Antigua 360 Race, as Teams Ready for the RORC Caribbean 600 Challenge
The Antigua 360 Race, a high-profile event organized by the Royal Ocean Racing Club together with the Antigua Yacht Club, signaled the end of the grand 2025 RORC Nelson’s Cup Series. The contest started from Fort Charlotte and saw 35 global teams embarking on a gripping 48-nautical mile showdown around the vibrant locale of Antigua. A consistent 15-knot breeze from the southeast created a perfectly dramatic backdrop for this maritime showpiece event.
Victory belonged to Niklas Zennstrom’s Carkeek 52 Rán, which emerged as the undisputed champion of the Antigua 360 Race after IRC time correction. Rán’s Project Manager, Tim Powell, attributed the win to a tactically superior performance and flawless manoeuvres throughout the race.
Now with the exhilaration of the Antigua 360 Race at its peak, the sailing world eagerly awaits the upcoming RORC Caribbean 600 slated to start on Monday, 24 February. The 600 nautical mile race is expected to be an exciting battle to watch, with Rán undoubtedly being one team to look out for amidst a superb lineup of participants.
