Published: 29 Jan 2025
The year 2025 is shaping up to be a sterling year for the UK Finn fleet, following an outstanding 2024 run.

Following a remarkably successful 2024, the UK Finn fleet seems poised to make even larger waves in 2025. The momentum is building rapidly with ongoing requests for boats and an increasing number of sailors becoming absolutely smitten with this outstanding vessel. The Finn fleet is not only witnessing an influx of green sailors but also a heartening return of seasoned ones. The overwhelming comradery within the fleet is complemented by how the boat itself seems to captivate sailors and draw them in. With a range of options available for different hulls, masts, and sails to suit various ages, fitness levels, sizes, and weights, this boat is fundamentally inclusive; catering to a broad range of sailors. An impressive array of events is on the horizon for the forthcoming season with the North Sails Silver Finn Trophy already secured under the patronage of North Sails UK with various events spread across the UK counting towards this series. The season gets off to an exhilarating start in March and April with a series of one-day warm-up events. These events offer excellent opportunities for sailors to shake off the winter chill and are expected to attract significant participation. Post-April, some of the fleet will set sail for the Europeans in Naples - a championship that promises to be an outstanding event at a spectacular venue. The season continues with events such as the UK Masters National at Thorpe Bay, the Scottish Nationals at the beautiful Largs and the Southern Area Championships in picture-perfect Christchurch.
