Setting Sail on Clean Energy: VisionF Yachts Unveils Precursor to a New Era with First Fully Electric Catamaran

As the tides of technology surge, Turkish shipbuilder VisionF Yachts sails to the future with its pioneering fully electric catamaran.

Beautifully sculpting the waves of innovation, VisionF Yachts, a glistening gem in Turkish shipbuilding milieu, has marked its name into the annals of marine history with the launch of its first all-electric catamaran. A gleaming figure cutting cleanly through the water in Tuzla, this 23.9 metre yacht, aptly named the E-Cat 80, combines high-tech craftsmanship with a deep commitment to environmental sustainability.

Designed with broad, lean hulls by Marco Casali of Too Design, the catamaran’s enticingly contemporary silhouette is equally matched with an audacious carbon fibre build. The ‘high-tech’ cat is powered by two Danfoss electric motors, which not only provides the owner with fluid and deft manoeuvrability but also ensures an alluring speed of up to 16 knots. The rank and file of this motor-powered extravaganza is appreciatively attributed to naval architect Dr Amedeo Migali.

The E-Cat 80 distinguishes itself as a semi-custom series, sprouting a range of layout offers adept at accommodating both private and charter clientele. With an impressive accommodation capacity for twelve guests and four crew members, onboard experience will be nothing short of lavish. Among the highlighted features, a fully customisable garage that can house a variety of marine adventure gears adds the zest of thrill to the mix.

VisionF Yachts, riding on the wave of this triumphant innovation, is diligently working on crafting three more units. Among its most ambitious projects is an ‘ultramodern’ 30.7-metre catamaran specifically designed for Mediterranean cruising.
