Arriving Full Sail: Melges UK Sets Course for Thrilling Year with New Products and Premier European Event

One of Britain’s newest sailboat operators, Melges UK, has plotted a thrilling course for the year ahead with promising new product launches and Melges’ paramount European event anchoring their voyage.

Among the exciting developments, they’re launching is the Melges 15, a versatile asymmetric double-handed dinghy, that is set to have its inaugural European Championship in the summer. Hosted in Dun Laoghaire, running concurrently with Ireland’s major sailing event, the Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta, the championship is shaping up to be a heated contest with an international ensemble. Interested sailors can savor the competition, thanks to the availability of 12 charter boats from Melges UK.

Furthermore, the dealership has planned a series of ‘pop-up’ style one-design Melges 15 events throughout the summer with demos even available at the Melges UK office in Hamble.

Bracing for perfect storm, Melges UK introduces the Melges RIB 625C - the perfect coaching RIB, which supported Adriana Penruddocke at the Summer 2024 Games in Marseilles while representing Bermuda in the ILCA 6 Class. The RIB features a unique design that efficaciously handles waves and provides a stable, comfortable platform for coaching. Fitted standard with a Yamaha 115 HP outboard engine, the RIB commands the speed and control to match pace with high-speed skiffs and other foiling classes. Coupled with its expansive interior and generous storage, coaches are looking at a comfortable and steady day at sea.
