Edmiston, a distinguished player in the yacht industry, closed 2024 on a high note, bagging €1.25 billion in yacht sales.

Edmiston, the prestigious yacht brokerage based in London, demonstrated unrivalled dominance in 2024, signing off on a whopping €1.25 billion in yacht sales. This grand sail includes 35 deals on luxury yachts over 30 metres long, marking a 21% growth surge over the previous year’s sales. And that’s not all - the global market for yachts over 30 metres length saw an increase of 4%, cementing Edmiston’s commanding position in the industry.

The company’s aggressive market tactics have resulted in maintaining an impressive 26% market share for yachts sold over €20 million. Needless to say, Alex Koersvelt, Edmiston’s Commercial Director, is beaming with optimism as they sail into 2025. ‘Our performance last year has positioned us well for an exciting 2025. There are already promising deals on the horizon, and positive developments across our departments are shaping our trajectory,’ he shares.

Looking back, 2024 had some shining moments for Edmiston. Case in point, the 60-metre Amels Come Together, priced luxuriously at €60 million, saw a swift transaction, closing a deal within 86 days of its announcement. Furthermore, the majestic 68-metre catamaran Wayfinder also found a new home within 106 days–a deal worth around a cool €55 million.

A special mention must be made of Edmiston’s speed of operations. The swiftness with which they seal the deal is laudable, as they consistently sell inventory twice as fast as the industry average. Their ability to close on high-quality deals is a core factor of their success story.

2025 is looking exceptionally bright under the leadership of CEO Jamie Edmiston, who has put a clear focus on innovation and sustainability. ‘As the yachting market continues to demand technological advancements and innovation, we are committed to leading the wave, implementing sustainable practices that push the boundaries,’ he shared enthusiastically.
