The 79m Turquoise Superyacht Originally Named Project Toro Discloses its New Identity as Nympheas
There’s a new gem in the crystal waters of the sea, and it’s the 79-meter Turquoise superyacht, a vision of modern-day luxury. Previously known as Project Toro, the chic maritime beast has now been christened Nympheas, embracing Greek roots that signify water lilies and grace. The baton of its journey has been passed from the Pendik shipyard in Turkey to Dürres in Albania, marking its first voyage under its new moniker. This towering, resplendent craft stands as the largest yacht built by the honored Turkish shipyard to date, sold by SuperYachtsMonaco in 2021.
A peek behind the scenes reveals Nympheas’ elegant two-toned exterior and a beach club equipped with side opening platforms. Her hull, cloaked in gold, had earlier this year made the journey from Turquoise’s facility in Kocaeli to Pendik, the glamorous destination where her outfitting works have come to life.
One might think Nympheas is nothing short of a floating city, considering its grandeur. With an 8.5-meter swimming pool and a semi-submerged Neptune lounge onboard, it brings a slice of paradise to the sea. Perfectly tailored for guest comfort and formidable service levels, the interior layout boasts seven guest cabins and an owner’s suite, lodging for 21 crew members, setting a gold standard for onboard luxury living.
This nautical achievement follows the news of Project Arrow, Turquoise’s first hybrid build, being transferred to Pendik for interior works. Nympheas is the tangible result of Turquoise’s pursuit of ‘pushing boundaries,’ a beacon that points towards a future where battery-powered hybrid propulsion systems may just become the new normal.
As the world awaits more from Turquoise, the 79m superyacht Nympheas primes herself to journey across the sea, a testament to the fearless innovation and timeless elegance that characterizes today’s maritime luxury era.
