Published: 17 Feb 2025
In a sailing world buzzing with grand acquisitions, the Sanlorenzo motor yacht Kamakasa stands apart, attracting a thrilling new buyer.

Delighting nautical connoisseurs worldwide, the grand 44.5-metre Sanlorenzo motor yacht Kamakasa has found her new harbinger. Boomer Jousma of the Italian Yacht Group and Tony Maggio of SI Yachts played pivotal roles as seller and buyer representatives respectively, orchestrating this momentous sale.

Luxury doesn’t come more compelling than Kamakasa, the proud second hull of the acclaimed Sanlorenzo 44 Alloy series. Built in aluminium under the expert eye of Zuccon International Project and delicately delivered in 2020, this yacht showcases a jaw-dropping blend of engineering and aesthetic finesse. Acclaimed as a new-build marvel in 2018, Kamakasa’s recent sale marks her elevation to a distinguished third owner since inception.

The yacht’s novel design ensures seamless access between the aft deck, bow and flybridge, with the flybridge presenting as one of the largest in its category. A contemporary interior style brings together white-hued furniture and light-grained marble, punctuated by contrasting elements like rich wood panelling and shimmering black bulkheads. Kamakasa’s intricate design caters innovatively to leisure with a generous foredeck, a versatile beach club styled as a bar, lounge and gym, and a unique facility to store a seven-meter tender.

Propelled by twin 2,636hp MTU diesel engines, Kamakasa’s prowess on water is commendable, boasting a maximum speed of 21 knots, cruising speed of 18 knots and a staggering range of 2,000 nautical miles. Further boosting her stability at anchor and aboard, zero speed stabilisers are inbuilt in this luxurious yacht. Now under the patronage of an elite new owner, the extravagant yacht proudly sails under the price tag of $22,900,000.
