Buyer Springs for the Seventh Model of the Mangusta Oceano 50 Series, Project Nexus
Superyacht enthusiasts have a new vessel to set their sights on. Celebrated Italian shipbuilder, Overmarine, has announced a remarkable deal for the sale of the seventh unit in the illustrious Mangusta Oceano 50 series. The 49.9-metre superyacht, affectionately known as Project Nexus, boasts a design by Alberto Mancini and is set to be constructed in Overmarine’s well-equipped facility in Viareggio, Italy.
Project Nexus’s buyer, backed by Moran Yacht & Ship, can look forward to a stunning vessel set to be delivered in 2028. Project Nexus will join celebrated sister ships like Dokinha and Eternity, carrying forwards the legacy of the maiden Oceano 50, Alisa, which was awarded in its size category at the World Superyacht Awards in 2021.
Communal comfort goes beyond standard norms. Project Nexus has a counterflow system swimming pool ingeniously constructed from a tender garage and a sundeck replete with Jacuzzi, alfresco dining, and lounge area. A sprawling 68-square metre beach club with three terraces invigorates the yacht’s sea-facing design, with a line-up for many a wonderful seafaring day.
Project Nexus balances opulence with performance. The yacht will hit waters with a maximum speed of 16 knots and promises a range of 4,500 nautical miles at a leisurely 11 knots. For others wanting to dive into the universe of Mangusta Oceano 50s, Moran Yacht & Ship is the central agency for Felicitá, the fifth hull of the series known for her blue marble and mosaic-tiled Hammam and an open-air cinema on the upper deck. For the maritime magnates, the sea holds not just adventure, but a high seas lifestyle of unparalleled luxury.
